About Sully

Sully is what my friends call me, my proper name is Robert Sullivan thus “Sully” = RA.Sullivan = RASPhoto. I am a commercial

photographer currently located in the Washington DC metro area.

I have been a photographer ever since that fated day in college, when I took a photography class to get the pesky art credit out of the way. It was love at first sight seeing a photograph develop from a seemingly blank piece of white paper. Up from nothingness an image appears like a magic trick I always wanted to know how to do. WOW with a bit of instruction I could learn this magic of painting with light! Starting with shooting dancers durring tech rehersals and nowI have been working ever since on exploring the world through the camera.

Fast forward to almost 15 years later.

The focus of my photography is on both fashion and still catalog while my talents extend into food, architecture & jewlery.

I am currently working on an art project: Refraction: a study of light through small cut glass on the human figure. I am also overhauling my Fashion Model and Architecture books.
